Partnering with the University of Memphis law school and the Memphis Bar Association to educate and train community stakeholders in addressing factors that inhibit equitable decision-making in the delivery of services.

Three

 Ways

of Building Community

Learning

What inhibits fair decision-making? CEDM’s educational workshops and webinars, presented by the country’s leading experts in their respective fields, provide insight into the neuroscience of decision-making, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and how implicit bias impacts our society.

01

Equipping

CEDM’s intensive training programs provide members of legal and corporate communities tools to help them recognize unconscious bias, enabling them to shift towards equitable decision making.

02

Working Together

CEDM has worked with District Attorneys, judges, public defenders and executives to bring awareness to implicit bias, but our work goes beyond members of the legal profession. Extending our reach to decision makers in health care, politics, and educational systems, as well as the public, is paramount to undoing the damage that has affected so many in our community.

03
CEDM seeks to bring racial equity

Breaking Down Barriers

CEDM seeks to bring racial equity not just to the criminal justice system, but to health care, education, the media, politics, and beyond. By providing educational workshops and training programs that focus on implicit bias, CEDM works to bring an end to the unconscious biases that negatively affect disadvantaged members of our community.
